DEE-DEE Bailey is left disgusted in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as

disgraced ex Joel Deering proposes. The abuser – played by Calum Lill – has previously

been exposed as the person behind Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance earlier this year.

In scenes yet to air, Joel approaches Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) with their wedding rings, declaring he still loves her.

The solicitor states the rings are a reminder of everything he’s lost.

Aware of her ex-fiancé’s depraved actions, Dee-Dee recoils.

Dee-Dee tells the pair that it should have been her wedding day.

As for Joel, he is alone in his flat when he opens his notebook and writes a letter.

He later stumbles into the café, clearly drunk and clutching a bottle of whisky.

The pair have a history, as Joel stood by and let Roy go to prison for Lauren’s alleged murder.

After months of her whereabouts being a mystery, the troubled teen eventually resurfaced.

Later on, she prematurely gave birth to a baby son named Frankie.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Lauren confides in Dee-Dee that she is suspicious of Joel’s movements as of late.

As a safety precaution, she has been following him on a tracking app.

However, Lauren’s noticed that he’s spent considerable time in a field and an industrial park.

To top it off, he transferred £5,000 into her account without an explanation.
