Justin stresses about Theo’s mistake and the huge accident they now have on their hands.
Leah tells Justin to find out as much as he can before assigning any blame to anyone, and Justin agrees.
Justin pulls a few strings and acquires Claudia’s mangled car, inspecting it for himself.
His heart sinks as he admits the truth to himself: there’s no denying that the brakes really did fail. When Theo finds out, he’s going to be gutted.
Meanwhile, after being pestered by Kirby for the thousandth time, Mali finally checks his email for any news from the art competition. It turns out that he’s made it as a finalist.
Mali thanks Kirby, sheepish that he brushed her off so many times and ignored her words of encouragement. The two friends celebrate, excited for what’s to come.
Elsewhere, Levi comforts a distressed Mackenzie, who’s overwhelmed by memories of Felicity. He manages to support her emotionally, but fails to hide stresses of his own: he still can’t get a hold of Abigail. Mackenzie demands that he tell her the truth, and he does.
Ashamed, Levi admits that he lent Abigail money again – this time, to buy drugs. Levi tries to justify himself – if he didn’t, she was going to get the drugs anyway from God knows where. Mackenzie is incensed and warns him that unless his little sister gets help, she’ll continue to exploit him. Deep down, Levi knows she’s right.
Still coming down from last night’s high, Abigail wakes up on Dom’s couch. She tries to leave, but Dom stops her: she doesn’t have enough money to pay back what she owes, so it looks like she’ll have to clear the debt another way.
Dom tells her that he’s booked her in for an hour with one of his regular clients, and Abigail’s blood runs cold. Panicking, she locks herself in the bathroom and calls Levi, begging him to come get her, now. Levi scribbles down the address and grabs his keys: his sister is in danger.
