Recently in the ITV soap, Tim decided to organize a surprise birthday party for Steve, who’s been feeling down ever since Tracy Barlow ran off to Spain with former footballer Tommy. Although Steve noticed that Tim and Amy Barlow might be planning something, he remained clueless about the specifics. Meanwhile, Sally Metcalfe had told her husband that they couldn’t arrange a birthday party for Steve because they needed to attend the unveiling of Tommy Orpington’s bust instead.
