In a shocking turn of events on *Home and Away*, Perry Hayes is at the center of
a devastating storyline. Perry, who was introduced as part of Tane’s outreach program
for troubled teens, has been trying to stay out of trouble ahead of his 18th birthday.
However, his abusive father, Carl, has always controlled his life, forcing him into illegal activities. Perry’s life takes a dark turn when Carl tracks him down in Summer Bay, demanding that Perry return home to continue working for him.
After Carl was acquitted in court for his abusive behavior, Perry feared his father’s revenge. Even though Rose took out a restraining order, Carl ignored it, confronting Perry at the Surf Club. In today’s dramatic episode, Carl follows Perry home and confronts him one final time. After a violent struggle, Perry is pushed to his breaking point and ends up killing his father in self-defense.
Tane, who has become a father figure to Perry, returns home after receiving no response to his texts, only to find the house dark and ominous. As he ventures into the backyard, he discovers Carl’s lifeless body floating in the pool. In a state of shock, Perry confesses, “I didn’t mean it. I killed my dad.”
The aftermath of this tragic event leads to the police being called, with Rose and her team descending on the scene. Perry, however, vanishes before they arrive, leaving Tane desperate to find him. As the drama unfolds, questions arise about whether Tane will face legal trouble for Perry’s actions, and the cliffhanger promises to have far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.
