Charity warns the Dingle women about Tom King, hinting that he could be
in serious trouble due to her suspicions. Viewers have seen Tom’s controlling and
abusive behavior toward Belle, culminating in her secret decision to terminate her pregnancy.
When Tom discovered Belle’s lie about having a miscarriage, he recklessly swung a pipe around the barn in anger, accidentally electrocuting himself.
In the episode airing Friday, June 28 on ITV1 and streaming service ITX, Belle and Tom were at the café for breakfast while Charity, Chas, and Lydia watched them from afar. Charity was skeptical of Tom’s use of a wheelchair, suspecting he was seeking attention. When Belle got up to check their order, Charity approached her and suggested they talk about Belle’s miscarriage, warning her not to bottle up her feelings.
Charity invited Belle to bring Piper to the pub for a chat, but Tom interrupted, claiming they had plans for dinner with Jimmy and Nicola. Charity reminded Tom there was plenty of time before dinner and offered to help push his wheelchair, which only frustrated him more.
At home, Tom continued his abusive behavior, demanding Belle brush her hair to his liking. As Belle prepared to walk Piper, Tom staged a fall from his wheelchair to manipulate her into staying with him. Later, during dinner with Jimmy and Nicola, Tom covered for Belle by lying about her miscarriage, then angrily accused her of making him look bad.
Charity, concerned after Belle stood her up, visited Dale Head and noticed a security camera above the front door. She urged Belle to talk, but Belle declined, frustrated by Charity’s persistence. Charity later gathered Chas and Lydia at the pub to share her concerns, suspecting something more than the miscarriage was troubling Belle.
Charity recalled how Tom had stalked her years ago and insisted that something wasn’t adding up. She and her relatives agreed to step in if Belle needed their help. Next week, Charity’s suspicions will intensify as she approaches Belle to express her concerns about Tom.
