Virgin River’s Colin Lawrence was lost for words after a recent revelation

from co-stars Alexandra Breckenridge and Zibby Allen. Famed for playing

John ‘Preacher’ Middleton in the Netflix drama, which has its 10-episode sixth season due

out in the not-too-distant future, the 53-year-old sat down for the pair’s I Like You Very Much podcast this week.

Mel Monroe actress Breckenridge told him in an Instagram clip from the episode: “I just want you to know that like, out in the wild, you are by far… all women that I speak to, their favourite character.”

Not knowing how to react to this compliment, Lawrence laughed: “Come onnnn!”

“You are absolutely…” she reiterated, before Brie Sheridan star Allen chipped in by describing him as “the object of desire”.

“It’s true,” added Breckenridge, while joking how she’ll often turn the tables on women thirsting for Preacher.

“Everybody’s like, ‘So what about Preacher?’ and I’m like, ‘Well he’s happily married and you don’t live anywhere near him, and aren’t you married too?’” she smiled.

This eye-opening discussion caught the attention of Dan Brady himself, Ben Hollingsworth, who joked beneath the social media video: “For me in the wild? I’m all preach all the time.”

Predictably, this also paved the way for Virgin River mega-fans to pour their heart out to Preacher.

“Preacher is such a great character and he’s there for everyone no matter what it is they need”. Someone else penned: “I totally agree. Especially in the books Preacher was the best character a quiet hero”; while a third reply said: “love Preacher so much because he is so sensitive.”

One individual claimed he’s the only “consistently consistent” male character in the whole series. “I absolutely agree! Preacher is my favorite character. Love him” and “I can confirm Preacher is top tier,” were further examples of Preacher appreciation.

The show’s official synopsis reads: “Seeking a fresh start, nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe moves from Los Angeles to a remote Northern California town and is surprised by what and who she finds.”
