Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge nearly let slip some juicy details about

the upcoming season of the beloved Netflix series. As fans eagerly anticipate

more heartwarming moments between Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra)

and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), the actress has been busy with a new venture alongside her co-star Zibby Allen.

Zibby, who plays Jack’s sister Brie, is set to make a comeback in the show’s sixth chapter later this year, joining other familiar faces such as Annette O’Toole as Hope McCrea and Tim Matheson as Doc.

Although an official release date for Netflix’s sixth season remains under wraps, Martin confirmed in June that production was nearing completion.

On their podcast I Like You Very Much, Zibby seemed to be probing the lead actress about her aspirations for certain characters.

“I wish, I wish, I wish…” Alexandra began, only to catch herself mid-sentence. “Wait. Hmm. I can’t talk about it because it’s season six…

“No, sorry, I was like…” she continued, making a tongue-wagging noise to indicate she was on the verge of dropping some major spoilers.

“Don’t! Scramble brain!” she confessed. “Not allowed to talk about that!”

Zibby then took a knowing sip of her tea while their guest Lauren Hammersley laughed along, all being careful not to reveal any secrets about the forthcoming season.

Alexandra, star of Netflix’s Virgin River, left fans in stitches with her Instagram post. She wrote: “Sometimes I am at a loss for words…” and “And sometimes you just can’t spoil season 6 of your Netflix television show.”

While fans found the moment amusing, some confessed they wouldn’t have minded a small spoiler given the long wait for the new season.

One follower responded: “Sometimes it’s better to stay quiet for a moment. Although I really wouldn’t mind S6 spoilers. Can’t wait for the new season!!” Another fan chimed in: “Darn! Thought we were getting a little tidbit on season 6.”

Fortunately, Virgin River enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer for new episodes of the romantic drama. Despite initial predictions that season six would be released early next year, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed it will debut before the end of 2024.

During his Netflix Q2 earnings interview, he announced: “Just before the end of this year we’ve got Squid Game’s return, Emily in Paris’s return, a new season of Selling Sunset, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Diplomat, Virgin River, Love is Blind, Ryan Murphy has an incredible new season of Monsters. That’s all just coming up before the end of the year.”
