Virgin River actress Alexandra Breckenridge has taken to social media to issue a warning.

Virgin River’s Mel Monroe actress is highlighting an issue for her 1 million followers to be aware of.

The Netflix romantic drama made a comeback for season five last month,

ending on an almighty cliffhanger which has got subscribers very excited.

But while no news has been shared regarding the sixth series, its cast has been busy with other projects and spending time with loved ones.

Mel actress Alexandra Breckenridge has had to take time out of her day though to send a warning to her fans.

She took to Instagram to inform her followers that a fake account of hers has been made with Breckenridge urging people not to interact with the person responsible.

The star posted a video on her Stories about the issue and included a screenshot of the fake account.

Breckenridge said: “Hi there darlings. I’m going to post a picture of a fake account, just FYI.

“A friend of mine flagged it and here it is. So that’s not me.

“I don’t have any other Instagram accounts, I don’t even have a Facebook page.”

She added: “[It’s] not me. Please don’t talk to this person.”

It appears the video was filmed in her home in Atlanta, Georgia, where she resides with her husband and musician Casey Hooper and their two children Jack and Billie.

Filming for Virgin River typically would have started by now in Vancouver with season six already confirmed.

With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes though, production across Hollywood has come to a halt with no sign of ending just yet.

This means a delay in countless shows and films, including the latest series of Virgin River.

Taking to Instagram ahead of the season five premiere, Breckenridge spoke of her frustration with not being able to work or talk about the show in public.

“I’m trying to do something fun and creative with my time because SAG is on strike and I can’t go back to work and I can’t even talk about work”, she said.”So, if all y’all are trying to send me messages asking about work-related things, I can’t answer you and I’m really sorry about that.”
