“Back in the booth getting post production just right for season 6 of #Virginriver,” Henderson captioned the image, hinting at the meticulous work being done to perfect the new episodes.

Showrunner Patrick Sean Smith has revealed that Virgin River Season 6 will consist of 10 episodes and will feature a narrative “time jump from the holidays.” This season is expected to delve deeper into the characters’ backgrounds and relationships, particularly focusing on Everett Reid, Mel’s biological father, who was introduced in the show’s Christmas specials.
Smith elaborated on the new season’s focus, saying, “What we’re exploring more in season 6 is who Everett Reid is, what his backstory is, what his connection to Virgin River was when he met her mom and then also what it is today.” Fans can look forward to a deeper exploration of Everett’s relationship with Mel and his ties to the town.
