Virgin River season six of the Netflix hit romantic drama is set to make a comeback sooner than expected.
After a hiatus since its festive episodes in November 2023, details on
the showâs return have been scarce, with production delays due to industry-wide strikes last year.
With filming only commencing in February, viewers were initially informed that the new season wouldnât grace screens until early 2025.
But in a turn of events, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos delivered some good news during the Q2 earnings interview, confirming that the series starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson will be back later this year.
Sarandos announced: âJust before the end of this year weâve got Squid Gameâs return, Emily in Parisâs return, a new season of Selling Sunset, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Diplomat, Virgin River, Love is Blind, Ryan Murphy has an incredible new season of Monsters.
âThatâs all just coming up before the end of the year.â
While an exact release date for Virgin River season six remains under wraps, speculation suggests it could align with the previous seasonâs November release schedule.
The news of the showâs earlier-than-planned return has sparked excitement among the fanbase, eagerly awaiting their next visit to the picturesque town of Virgin River.
Taking to Reddit, one fan expressed their excitement with a succinct: âYee! ! More Xmas episodes!â, while another enthusiast chimed in: âYaaaay! Good news.â
Delighted by the anticipation of festive storytelling, a fan shared: âThis will be a nice winter treat I canât wait to see whatâs in store⊠I hope Mel finally gets to have a baby.â
Another eagerly added: âYes I cannot wait any longer. I want to see Mel and her dadâs story and I know more problems for Brady are coming around.â
