Martin Henderson is set to make his directorial debut during season 6 of the show,

directing episode 608. Henderson is not the only cast member who directs in the series.

Tim Matheson directed four episodes in the previous seasons (S01E09, S01E10, S02E07, S02E08).

It has been announced that Edwards will be joining the writers’ team for Season 6 of Virgin River. Edwards has an extensive background as a writer and executive producer for series such as The Bold Type, American Woman, The Astronauts’ Wives Club, Switched at Birth, and Parenthood. She has previously worked with Netflix on the show Firefly Lane.

Production on Virgin River Season 6 has officially ended, and Season 6 should premiere before the end of 2024.

Filming for the upcoming season started on February 21st and ended on Monday, June 3rd, 2024.

Is Virgin River renewed for season 7?

Officially, Netflix has not publicly announced a renewal for season 7 yet.

However, in the past few weeks, several crew members directly involved in the series, as well as some individuals not affiliated with the production but employed by certain cast members while working in Vancouver, have posted on social media that they will be returning for season 7.
