CORONATION Street fans have been left convinced that Lauren Bolton is still alive following a bombshell clue.
The teen has been presumed dead after seemingly being killed by secret villain Joel Deering.
No one has been able to locate Lauren’s body and with no suspicions whatsoever on Joel her death has thus far remain unsolved.
Now, some fans have begun to decipher that Lauren isn’t actually dead and think they have unlocked the bombshell clue why.
Fans of Coronation Street recently watched on as Bethany Platt suspected fraud after being left concerned by someone using her old company credit card.
Bethany was dumbfounded as she hadn’t made any of the purchases and set about retrieving bank statements and documentation to prove that she wasn’t responsible.
She then decided to seek legal advice from Joel in a bid to find out how to stop someone fraudulently using a credit card.
Now fans think that the link could mean that Lauren is using Bethany’s credit card which proves she must be alive.
Weeks before her disappearance, Lauren had been caught rooting through Bethany’s purse which could prove that she is responsible.
Commenting with their theories online, one fan said: “Calling it now… last scenes of Lauren was her in Bethany’s purse. Did she take a picture of Bethany’s work credit card or somehow clone it? Bet the £5 fell out and she was putting it back.”
Another added: “Think Lauren is in hiding using the credit card.”
“It’s definitely Lauren who’s been using Bethany’s credit card isn’t it, good on ya gal,” penned a third.
Before a fourth agreed, writing: “That’s an excellent hypothesis, especially given that there are no coincidences or stray actions in soapworld! I think you’re onto something there.”
Fans know that Joel has a sinister side to him and has connections to sex worker Ellie.
Lauren was also doing sex work as an OnlyFans star before her disappearance.
Joel and Lauren are believed to have first met when he appeared as her duty solicitor in August of last year.
The rest of the nature of their relationship has yet to be determined by the soap.
