A lead in Lauren Bolton’s missing case could finally be uncovered as the net closes

in on Joel on Coronation Street next week. Lauren Bolton is still missing, presumed dead,

and whilst Nathan is currently under investigation for her disappearance and murder,

viewers know that Joel Deering is responsible and is targeting other young women.

Next week on the ITV soap, attention turns to rehabilitating Roy after his prison stay and help him out of his depression. Yasmeen, Nina and Shona come together to hatch a plan, which sees Shona pretending to be sick so that they can get Roy back downstairs in the cafe. When he hears the smoke alarm, he emerges from the flat and agrees to help at work.

Toyah gets big news

Elsewhere, Bethany and Shona spot a supermarket transaction in the credit card statement and suggests it could have been a click and collect order, as the pair race to try and find some potential CCTV evidence.

Bernie is desperate to discuss with Kit about how they can tell Gemma and Paul that they have a brother, but she is unaware that whilst she waits in the Rovers to talk to him about it, he is already telling them about their DNA connection.

Meanwhile, Steve McDonald is left gutted when he finds out one of his closest friends Tim and wife Sally are at the unveiling of the bust of Tommy Orpington. Cassie offers to take him to the party to confront them, but when they get there, they realise a way to get revenge. What do they do and will they get caught out for what they’ve done?

Elsewhere, Toyah gets the shock of her life when she is rushed into hospital. She is struggling with stomach pains and Nick rushes her into hospital whilst him and Leanne keep a bedside vigil. However, the shocking news doesn’t stop there – as Toyah is in for another surprise when the doctor drops another unexpected bombshell. What has she found out?
