Just when Summer Bay thought it had seen the last of the River Boys, a shocking twist brings them back.
Recently, Rory and Dingo were taken down after Cash made it his mission to dismantle the notorious gang.
Though their leader is behind bars, the rest of the group remains strong. In fact,
the Mangrove River Police Force has been disbanded after losing their battle with the gang, leaving a void in law enforcement.
A new twist reveals that the River Boys are gearing up for another round of chaos in Summer Bay. On October 7th, an early morning shoot at Palm Beach, which stands in for Summer Bay, showed one of the River Boys being prepped by the wardrobe department. Actor Patrick O’Connor, who plays Dean, confirmed in an interview with the Daily Telegraph that the River Boys will be returning as part of Dean and Ziggy’s upcoming storyline. He hinted at “a bit of River Boy action” and some road trips involving the group. While Dean and Ziggy’s journey takes them to Northern Queensland, it’s unclear how their story will tie in with the River Boys’ return to Summer Bay.
In addition to this, a newly surfaced audition video reveals the introduction of a new character named Lacy, who will make her debut in the first half of next year. In the video, Lacy is seen talking to a “bad boy” character recently released after being arrested in connection to a brawl. Although he claims he was merely watching the fight, trouble seems to follow. The character is also involved in planning a race day, but things take a turn when one of his co-organizers punches a police officer, causing further complications.
Summer Bay is about to be shaken once again with the return of the River Boys, and the drama will be explosive.
