Coronation Street fans believe they’ve cracked the case on who will finally

expose corrupt copper Kit Green. Kit, portrayed by Jacob Roberts,

made his debut on the cobbles this year as Bernie’s (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son.

Bernie had given up Christopher ‘Kit’ Green for adoption nearly three decades ago.

A few months back, she managed to locate him. Meanwhile, Bernie’s twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were shocked to discover they had another sibling.

Moreover, Kit played a crucial role in getting Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a vile character, jailed for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). He planted Lauren’s DNA in paedophile Nathan’s van, framing him for the crime.

Since then, Kit has become a regular face on the cobbles, stirring up plenty of drama. This week, he forced Beth Tinker (Lisa George) off the street after she tried to outsmart him, reports the Express.

Beth caught Kit collaborating with troublemaker Sid, who has been peddling fake goods. In an attempt to gather evidence and blackmail him, Beth filmed their interaction and threatened Kit, which infuriated him.

However, when Beth’s son Craig (Colson Smith) admitted to Kit about the cover-up of Faye Windass and Emma Brooker’s hit and run incident in 2021, Kit used this information to his advantage. Later, Beth confided in Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who has already expressed his worries about Kit – a conversation that Kit witnessed.

Corrie viewers have been buzzing as Kit escalated his threats against Beth, proposing she should pack up and scram from Weatherfield or he’d be snitching about Craig’s shady antics to the fuzz.

But while Kit reckons he’s got everyone around his little finger, the soap’s eagle-eyed fans are betting on one local to clock the dodgy character. Hitting the net with their theories, backers are confident that Daniel will be the hero to take down Kit.

One Corrie devotee posted on a Facebook group: “I think Kit needs a wake-up call he’s too smug for my liking,” Another joined in the conversation, chipping in: “I think Daniel will be the one for that,” while someone else scribbled: “Hopefully Daniel will sort Kit out.”

Another spot of chatter on platform X saw a viewer declare: “Daniel has got you all sussed kit. Your lies are not gonna stay hidden forever never does.” Another shared their vision: “Daniel vs Kit… the next big rivalry.”
