Coronation Street fans are speculating that Stu Carpenter might meet a tragic end at

the hands of bully Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan). As regular viewers will recall,

Mason was previously sent to a young offenders centre for threatening

Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) with a knife.

During the trial, Dylan Wilson (Liam Mccheyne) courageously testified against Mason despite his fear of the thug. However, since Mason’s release and return to Weatherfield, he has been causing trouble, leaving both Liam and Dylan on edge.

In contrast, Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) has shown sympathy towards Mason, even securing him a job at his restaurant. The news of Mason working at Speed Daal sparked outrage among several residents.

Despite this, Stu maintained that he could see Mason was attempting to change his ways and wanted to offer him a shot at redemption. Mason has also formed a bond with mischief-maker Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin), the daughter of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

Last month, it was announced that actor Bill Fellows would be leaving the soap as Stu, leading viewers to speculate about his exit storyline – and it doesn’t look good, reports the Manchester Evening News.

According to some fans on Reddit, they believe Mason will find himself in hot water again and attempt to stab either Liam or Dylan, with Stu tragically caught in the crossfire resulting in his untimely death.

One viewer speculated: “Does anyone think Mason will kill Stu”, sparking debate as another fan responded, “I hope not. I do believe he wants to change. However, we know that something ‘big’ will happen. Maybe Mason tries to stab Dylan/ Liam/Betsy, Stu steps in and dies.”

Another chimed in with a theory: “Maybe Stu will be in the crossfires of the teenage drama and Mason will try to save his life.”

Meanwhile, a different Corrie enthusiast pointed out a potential plot twist on social media: “Mason was arrested for bullying including pulling a knife on Liam. So obviously Stu’s now offered him a job in a kitchen… cutting stuff. Amazing. This is going to end well. #corrie.”
