Coronation Street legendĀ Alan HalsallĀ has spoken to Metro.co.uk
about Tyroneās anguish uponĀ the return of ex-girlfriend Alina PopĀ (Ruxandra Porojnicu).
Gossip had spread around Weatherfield thatĀ Alina was back in the country
after being called as a witness in a human trafficking trial.
In tonightās episode, Tyroneās wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) was shopping at Freshco when they came face to face, and it soon became clear she was hiding a huge secretā¦Ā a son!
After overhearing her mention that she was staying at the Chariot Square Hotel, she followed Alina, who told her that she was returning to Romania tomorrow.
Finally coming clean to Tyrone, Fiz urged him to chase after Alina himself, but when he arrived, Debbie told him that sheād already checked out.
āAlina coming back is a potential spanner in the worksā Alan told us.

āI think at first heās quite dismissive, doesnāt really want to get into the conversation. He just wants things the way they are with Fiz, and heās really happy and settled, and he doesnāt want the distraction.ā
He went on to reflect on the wider familyās reaction to Alinaās arrival: āHope and Ruby could definitely give him a hard time! Cassieās new on the scene and she might want to know the whole story about Alina. And, of course, Evelyn hasĀ an opinion about absolutely everything!ā
āSo, Tyrone can get it from all angles, and I think he just wants an easy life, so the least said about this Alina situation the better, in his eyes!ā
In upcoming scenes, Cassie decides to meddle in the situation, and when she clocks that Streetcars have taken Alinaās airport booking she decides toĀ intercept the situationĀ by driving her to No. 9 Coronation Street instead.
Alinaās furious that sheās been duped, but how will Fiz feel, having the woman who destroyed her long-term relationship back in her home?
āAs an actor, Iād like to think that now Tyrone and Fiz are together and finally married and theyāve got this lovely family, this multigenerational family, Iād like to think theyāre unbreakableā Alan told us.
āBut I also live in the reality of this is soap, and therefore nothing is! So, weāll see.ā

He was also quick to shy away from being compared to the iconic Jack and Vera Duckworth (Bill Tarmey and Liz Dawn), who took on a parental role in Tyroneās life.
āFor me growing up, Jack and Vera were like Mr and Mrs Coronation Streetā he explained.
āIt was my era, they were my era. I loved everything about those two characters, and then was lucky enough to work with them for years, so thatās something that I like to shy away from.ā
He continued: āThereās nothing wrong with being the Tyrone and Fiz! Jack and Vera were the first Jack and Vera, but I donāt think thereāll be another one.ā
