Next week on ITV’s Coronation Street, viewers will witness Leanne Battersby

potentially revealing her true intentions towards Rowan Cunliffe. Despite being deceived by him and his fraudulent institute, it appears she may be plotting against him.

A decision she makes next week could alter everything and possibly lead to Rowan’s downfall. While Leanne seems ready to turn on Amy Barlow and even resort to blackmail over recent events, a teaser for next week’s episodes strongly suggests that Rowan is Leanne’s real target.

She is seen doing something behind his back that could prevent him from targeting Amy, as part of her plan to expose the Institute. Viewers are aware that earlier this year, Rowan, the leader, manipulated and brainwashed Leanne into investing in his ‘self-improvement’ organisation. She was tricked into becoming a member, with her subsequent task being to recruit others.

Amy was persuaded to join, and unfortunately, she lost £40,000 after being duped into handing it over to Rowan. He is now refusing to return the money, leaving Amy and her mother Tracy eager to expose him, reports the Mirror.

As the drama unfolds next week, Rowan pressures Leanne to choose a side and instructs her to stop Amy from taking action. However, in a preview, Leanne assures Rowan that despite what she says, Amy is not backing down.

Leanne reveals a darker side as she agrees to assist Rowan in his scheme to blackmail Amy for defying their organisation. Impressed by her actions, Rowan commends her “loyalty and strength” and suggests they sift through Amy’s personal files for potential leverage.

Rowan, who had previously recorded confidential sessions with Amy, entrusts Leanne with the task of examining these records. However, when Rowan steps away after handing over the laptop, Leanne seizes the opportunity to act covertly.

She hastily deletes the files on Amy, ensuring Rowan remains unaware, and then proceeds to explore other documents. To her shock, she stumbles upon files bearing her own name, sparking curiosity about their contents.
