Coronation Street may have given away who Joel Deering is about to target amid
the Lauren Bolton murder storyline, as a scene with a teenager saw him up to no good
Coronation Street appeared to hint at Joel Deering’s next target, as one teenager caught his attention.
The character was recently revealed to be hiding something dark, and he was exposed as the killer of Lauren Bolton. It soon emerged there were other girls who had been abused and groomed by Joel, and now it seems he has someone else on his radar.
Max Turner’s ex Sabrina returned to Weatherfield during Friday’s episode, after her brother had been arrested. Sabrina was outside the police station, when solicitor Joel spotted her and checked in.
He began offering his services to her claiming he wanted to help her out, suggesting there were other ways to pay for solicitor fees. While he listed suggestions including monthly payments, it was clear he was planning on getting close to Sabrina and using her brother’s arrest to try and get her to trust him.

Sabrina turned down his offer of help, but Joel then gave her his personal mobile number as well as his work number. He told her it may come in handy, and after Sabrina left he pulled a face that suggested he was targeting her.
Spoilers have revealed there’s more scenes ahead for the pair, and she will be warned by her pal who was in the scene with her. Joel speaking to Sabrina left the mystery girl pulling a face at him, clearly thinking he was a bit weird.
But does Sabrina need to watch her back, and might she be next? If he is her next target, might he end up exposing his lies given Sabrina’s link to his murder victim Lauren?
After all, Sabrina knew all about Lauren having a mystery fella and then being harassed. She also tried to help find Lauren when she first went missing, before the police shared their belief that she was dead. So if Joel makes a slip-up, could Sabrina work out he is linked to Lauren’s disappearance?
