Wednesday’s episode (July 24) as Chesney Brown made known that he was reaching the age of 30.

As a father of five, Chesney is currently dealing with financial struggles that plague his young family.

Chesney, alongside wife Gemma, is also under threat of being evicted from their abode, leading to potential homelessness as they anticipate re-housing by their local council.

In a revealing conversation with wife Gemma Winter at The Rovers, Chesney expressed his lack of enthusiasm about celebrating his upcoming birthday.

When Gemma enquired on his plans for his birthday: “So did you want to go out for your birthday tomorrow? “, Chesney quickly dismissed the suggestion owing to their monetary constraints.

“Can’t afford it can we”, he replied, following which Bernie noted: “Thirty’s a big one!”, reports the Express.

“Yeah I don’t really feel like celebrating”, lamented Chesney, adding: “Too worried about the house.”

Things took an unexpected turn when Kit Green shared his intention of making an offer to buy Gemma and Chesney’s house from their landlord, in an attempt to invest his inheritance money to assist the struggling couple from eviction.

However, viewers were taken aback with the confirmation of Chesney’s age.
