Coronation Street’s Alina Pop has dropped a baby bombshell, revealing the father of

eturned to the cobbles last week with the news that she had a young son.

After bumping into her former love rival Fiz (Jennie Mcalpine), it quickly dawned on her that her husband Tyrone (Alan Halsall) could be the father of Alina’s child. Fans will remember that Tyrone and Alina were in a relationship a few years ago – before Alina left Weatherfield, insisting she wasn’t pregnant.

Fans are convinced Alina is lying

He managed to find her, where she admitted that he was her son’s father, reports the Express. However, fans are sceptical that Tyrone is actually the real dad of her son.

Viewers have been quick to voice their theories on Alina’s baby revelation. Some are suggesting the real father could be the late Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) – who briefly dated Alina during her first stint on the ITV soap.

She returned to the cobbles last week

In what would be a massive twist, other viewers believe the real father is none other than soap legend David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd). Fans will remember that the pair had a one-night-stand back in 2020.

Corrie watchers are now speculating Alina might have had her baby off-screen, suggesting that’s why the child appears to be older than two.

On a fan page dedicated to Coronation Street on Facebook, one viewer speculated: “I think Alina is lying and the baby isn’t Tyrone’s. She’s up to something.”

Another questioned: “She had a night with David Platt. Could definitely be a mini David!” A third declared: “I forgot about this!”. A fourth theorised: “If the baby is older than 2 and he looks it, it could possibly be Davids.”

And a fifth surmised: “She did have one night with David and baby kind of looks like him. I think that is why she left rubbing her tummy. She knew it was David’s.”
