There are tragic scenes ahead for Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and his family as
his condition worsens in a new Coronation Street video. Paul has been living
with motor neurone disease for over a year, and his condition has deteriorated
significantly over that time.
LastĀ Christmas, he was given just six months to live, and his family are aware that things couldĀ take a turn for the worseĀ at any moment.
It appears that that is exactly what happens in upcoming scenes, which see Paul struggle to breathe while mumĀ Bernie WinterĀ (Jane Hazlegrove) comforts him.

Meanwhile, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) takes charge of ringing for an ambulance, and the crew reveal they are 15 minutes away ā time Bernie insists they may not have.
Amid the commotion,Ā Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) arrivesĀ and wonders aloud where Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) is.
Having gone out for a drink with David Platt (Jack P Shepherd), Billy came home slightly worse for wear the previous night, and it wasnāt until he woke up with a hangover the next morning that he realised his phone was missing.

Summer is quick to explain to Kit thatĀ he went out in search of his phoneĀ and that they donāt know how to contact him, but that they are hoping heāll return soon.
Actor Daniel Brocklebank revealed to Metro.co.uk that it would be Billyās worst nightmare not to be there in Paulās final moments.
āHeās promised Paul that he will be there in his last moment. Even though everybody had said to him, āGo out for a drink.ā
