Alexandra Breckenridge, revealed that she didn’t expect such success.

“Virgin River” tells the story of nurse Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge),

who starts working in the titular town, recovers from

traumatic events, and meets a new love. So far, we have received three series, and Netflix recently announced an order for two more

seasons. The series star admitted that before the premiere, she didn’t believe that anyone would want to watch it.

Virgin River: Alexandra Breckenridge Doubted the Series’ Success

Alexandra Breckenridge gave an interview to The Huffington Post, in which she talked about her participation in “Virgin River”. The actress emphasized that many promising Netflix series turned out to be failures, which is why she thought the same could happen to her new project:

Breckenridge said that she decided not to be discouraged by this and simply treated this very emotional series as an opportunity for professional development.

The actress added with a laugh that her series partner, Martin Henderson, still reproaches her for doubting “Virgin River”:
