BREAKING NEWS: Virgin River Season 6 Trailer: Netflix Series Teases Jack & Mel’s Wedding Ahead Of December Release

Netflix drops the trailer for Virgin River season 6, teasing viewers about Jack Sheridan

(Martin Henderson)and Mel Monroe’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) long-awaited wedding.

Jack proposed to Mel in season 4. However, they didn’t end up getting married in season 5.

Instead, that season focused on other storylines. It seems that they are finally tying the knot in Virgin River season 6, which will arrive on December 19.

Virgin River Season 4 Ending Explained & Questions Answered

Netflix’s trailer for season 6 gives viewers a sneak peek at Mel’s wedding dress, along with a throwback to Jack’s speech in season 4, urging viewers to save the date. While the trailer mainly consists of the couple’s most memorable moments over the last five seasons, it also captures Jack being fitted for a tux, Mel heading to a hot pink limo, concluding with a brief look, though not all of her wedding dress, along with an empty barn that might be their wedding venue. What This Means For Virgin River Season 6
A Season of Celebration and Drama

While the Virgin River season 5, part 2 ending didn’t deliver the wedding as many expected, it’s finally going to happen in the upcoming season. The big tease at the end of season 4 will come full circle in season 6. With the official trailer tracing the couple’s footsteps over the years, it seems to hint that Jack and Mel’s wedding will play a big part in season 6’s plotlines.

Their wedding also sets a tone of celebration for the upcoming season, which seems fitting for its December release date. On the other hand, the trailer, consisting of mainly old footage, gives very little detail about the upcoming wedding, which means Netflix doesn’t want to ruin the surprise ahead of its release. It also indirectly hints that their wedding would be a special highlight in season 6.

Our Take on Virgin River Season 6
Season 6 Will Made Better By Season 5

It might be a blessing that season 5 didn’t feature their wedding. The event has gotten better with all the drama in the previous season, especially with Mel’s discovery of her biological father. With season 5 setting the stage, the upcoming season can promise viewers even more.

With Jack and Mel’s wedding being the backdrop of the next 10 episodes in Virgin River, the new installment will feature wedding drama, revelations about Mel’s father, and love triangles. Not to mention, season 6 will also include Jack’s bachelor party and Mel’s bachelorette party. The promise of a romantic spring wedding season alone has given the audience a lot to look forward to.
