Aussie Shore has shocked viewers so much there are concerns it could be pulled from Paramount+.
However, Paul Dyer couldn’t be prouder of his daughter Lexi who is at the centre of the show’s risqué action.
The former Big Brother Australia housemate is thrilled his youngest is starring on the show, branding her critics ‘woke‘ and telling them to ‘back off’.
‘I am very proud of my girl and the person she is on the show,’ Paul told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I think it’s great – I’m entertained, and I know my followers are entertained too.’
With over 190,000 followers on TikTok, where he’s affectionately known as #AUSSIECHICKENDAD, Paul is no stranger to controversy himself, often copping backlash for his wild videos.
‘I always believed, even back in my day, that for every one person who hates you, you have a hundred that probably love you,’ he said.

‘You have to question the type of people that have a problem with a show they would never watch. Don’t they have Home and Away or something else more their cup of tea?’
While some viewers have been outraged, accusing the show of being too explicit for Australian screens, Paul believes these so-called critics haven’t even bothered to watch.
‘I highly doubt these hoity-toity types have watched a second of the show to know what they’re talking about,’ he said defiantly.
Far from shying away from the debate, Paul has embraced the public conversation around the show.

‘Some people might think I’m too out there or too controversial, but I’ve always been about promoting conversation. Not all conversations have to be about the weather.’
And just like on his viral TikTok platform, Paul isn’t afraid to let people know where he stands.
Paul admitted not everyone in his own family is tuning in to watch Lexi’s escapades on Aussie Shore.
‘I’ve had the discussion with my own parents, and they’ve said they won’t be watching. They’ve chosen not to watch my TikTok in the past too. That’s their choice, and that’s the right of everyone – whether they’ll watch Aussie Shore or not,’ he said.
Aussie Shore is the latest iteration of the smash hit Jersey and Geordie Shore franchises made famous in the US and UK, with several episodes already aired.
The show kicked off with some of the most graphic scenes seen in Down Under TV history.
