has revealed that the release date for Virgin River season 6 has been moved up to 2024.

Previously announced for a 2025 debut, the actress confirmed the earlier release in an Instagram Story.

Addressing her followers, Breckenridge teased the upcoming season, saying, “I think you’re all going to enjoy it a lot.” She also hinted at the challenges and intensity of filming, mentioning that the cast and crew were often on location.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos had previously announced the earlier release date during the company’s Q2 earnings interview. Alongside Virgin River, other highly anticipated shows like Squid Game, Emily in Paris, and Love is Blind are set to return before the end of the year.

Season 6 of Virgin River picks up a few months after the events of the season 5 finale, where Mel discovered the identity of her biological father. Fans can expect to delve deeper into this storyline, as well as follow Mel and Jack’s journey to parenthood and Brady’s new role at the fire station.

With returning favorite characters and exciting plot developments, Virgin River season 6 promises to be another thrilling installment for fans.

Virgin River Season 6 Release Date Moved Up to 2024

Alexandra Breckenridge has confirmed that the highly anticipated sixth season of Virgin River will be released in 2024, rather than the previously announced 2025. The actress shared the exciting news on her Instagram Story, much to the delight of fans.

In a series of videos, Breckenridge teased the upcoming season, promising that fans will “enjoy it a lot.” She also revealed that filming was “intense” and involved a lot of on-location shooting.

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos previously announced that season six would be released later this year, joining a lineup of other popular shows. The new episodes will pick up a few months after the events of season five, which saw Mel discover her biological father’s identity.

According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, the upcoming season will delve deeper into Mel’s relationship with her biological father, Everett Reid, who is hiding a long-held secret. Mel and Jack will also continue their journey to parenthood and transform Lilly’s farm into their dream home.

Other storylines include Brady’s new job at the fire station and Kaia’s involvement in Preacher’s past sins. Fans can also expect to see some familiar faces returning for the new season.
