Virgin River star Zibby Allen has admitted that she got a little emotional

while filming the show’s famous Christmas episodes, something her co-star Alexandra Breckenridge

couldn’t understand. Zibby, who is best known for playing Brie, the younger sister of

Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson), shared the heartfelt moment in a new episode of their podcast I Like You Very Much.

In a chat with co-star Teryl Rothery, who plays Muriel St. Claire on the Netflix series, they fondly recalled her “song and dance” during Virgin River’s Christmas festivities.

“I cried in the crowd!” Zibby confessed, prompting sympathetic “awws” from the others. “It was silly,” she continued, “But it was so cute and I was overwhelmed.”

As Zibby expressed her feelings, Alexandra, who plays Mel Monroe, could be heard laughing in the background.

“You’re the best, Zibby!” Teryl responded, while Alexandra was clearly amused. “Alex was like, ‘Really?!’” Zibby joked as Alexandra looked at her, still laughing.

Meanwhile, Alexandra revealed: “I was laughing because of what was going on. Not because of you… other things that were going on at the time. “Like Bert, in his costume? Come on,” she added, as an image of actor Trevor Lerner as Bert appeared on screen, his beard glowing. “I know, I love it!” Zibby exclaimed. “It touched me. With the ornaments hanging from the beard, it was special.

“I think I was just moved because I was like, ‘Is this real life? Like, are we in Virgin River?’ It was precious.”

Despite the occasional laugh from the sidelines, Mel’s storyline in the latest season touched viewers’ hearts.

In the series, Mel faces a heartbreaking outburst and then tells Jack that they should stop trying for a baby, a decision that leaves him heartbroken but ultimately successful.
