In next week’s *Home and Away* (UK episodes), Mali finds himself in
a tough spot when Dingo calls in a favor. After a major breakthrough
in the investigation into Franklin McGrath’s death, Cash finally tracks down evidence connecting
the notorious River Boys gang to the crime. Cash and Constable Joanna Devlin have been investigating McGrath’s murder for some time, and it becomes personal when Cash realizes the gang’s leader, Rory, is dating his sister Felicity.
Cash and Joe gather evidence from surveillance, identifying Dingo’s car near the crime scene. When the police impound the car, Dingo panics and heads to Summer Bay. Rory, trying to protect Flick, suggests they confront Cash, but Dingo’s nerves get the best of him. Rory and Dingo eventually head to the police station, where Dingo denies involvement, despite having the same River Boys tattoo as the suspect. He claims he was just fishing in the area, but Cash lets him go for the moment, lacking concrete evidence.
Things take a turn when Dingo reveals he’s kept some incriminating “souvenirs.” Desperate, he turns to Mali, handing him a padlocked bag of evidence and asking him to keep it safe. Mali is torn about what to do, even considering talking to Cash. Instead, he shows the bag to Tane, and together they try to open it, but fail. Eventually, Mali decides the best course of action is to dispose of it.
Meanwhile, Cash and Joe are granted a warrant to search the River Boys’ hideout, and Eden is tasked with keeping Flick occupied. Just as the police prepare to raid the hideout, Mali throws the bag back at Dingo. With forensic evidence now linking Dingo’s car to McGrath’s death, the police close in. Is this the end for Dingo, and will Mali find himself in trouble too?
