It’s been two years since This Is Us ended, but one star from the series is keeping

the show’s memory alive in a unique way. Actress Alexandra Breckenridge

is now starring in Virgin River on Netflix, and fans also know her for playing

Sophie Inman (the on-and-off girlfriend to Justin Hartley’s character Kevin Pearson) on the hit NBC drama. Well, she’s giving folks a look at what it was like to become the character on This Is Us, with the help of a video that helped her score the role.

As Alexandra posted a throwback video on Instagram, fans watched her stand in front of a blank wall while reading lines for the camera. What’s more, folks heard what seemed to be husband Casey Hooper say the dialogue with her, helping create the scene that would later be part of the season 1 episode “I Call Marriage.”

“This is us,” she wrote on August 3. “Audition tape for Sophie. ❤️.”

When the actress’ followers watched the clip that helped her secure the role on This Is Us, they immediately raved how much they loved seeing the behind-the-scenes of it all.

“This is totally Sophie. I miss her ❤️. You’ve done an amazing job portraying her, and I get why they picked you!!” one person wrote in the comments. “So good! We can feel your feelings! Thanks for sharing Alex. Such an amazing character: Sophie!!✨♥️,” another exclaimed. “And that ladies and gentlemen is why Alex is so amazing. That’s just the audition… and I can see Sophie right there! Chef’s kiss 💋 Alex!” a different follower added.

As viewers are well aware, Alexandra did eventually book the role and portrayed Sophie throughout This Is Us’six-season run. Folks also may remember while Sophie and Kevin’s relationship was rocky even before the pilot, the two rekindled their romance by the final episode, with them eventually living together with Kevin’s kids.

After seeing this, wouldn’t you love to see a This Is Us spinoff with Kevin and Sophie in the future? We know we’d definitely love to see Justin and Alexandra work together… perhaps on Virgin River.
