Gemma finds herself in trouble with the police

Gemma Winter’s (Played by Dolly-Rose Campbell) day goes from bad to worse after getting

a £70 parking fine in the post and her daughter Carly explains she’s in desperate need of

some new shoes. Taking her to the shoe shop to get her feet measured, Gemma is gutted when she learns they cost £45, which she can’t afford. However, when the assistant is distracted Gemma has a plan.

Grabbing her daughter’s hand, she quickly flees the shop without paying for them. Although her mum Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) is quick to ask how Gemma could afford the shoes when they return home, will Gemma come clean?

Later on, her husband Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) is serving up kebabs for Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) and his delighted school friends who are around for dinner. When one of the dads comes to collect his son, Gemma is in for a shock.

Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) is shocked when he spots Gemma being brought into the police station after getting arrested for stealing the shoes. When Bernie begs him to do what he can to make sure Gemma is released, Kit goes to the shoe shop.

Later on, Gemma is intrigued to know why Kit wanted to help her and introduces him to Chesney and the kids but while he’s there, Kit gets a shocking call from his dad.

Abi leaves the cobbles

Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) confides in Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) that Stefan Brent (Paul Opacic) has agreed to pay to take down the deep fake videos of Abi Franklin (Sally Carman).

However, the good news is quickly stomped out when Stefan reveals that the deal is off after discovering it’ll cost him £60k a year to take the videos down. How will Kevin react?

Later on, Abi explains that she needs to leave Weatherfield and get away for a few days. Deciding to stay with Lynsey and the twins for a while, Abi heads out of the Rovers while Kevin does his best to remain positive.

Joel finds himself threatened

When Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Ed Bailey (Trevor Michael Georges) meet up with Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill’s) parents, Anthea Deering (Carol Royle) apologises for how she previously behaved.

Dee-Dee is pleasantly surprised but things take a turn when Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) accidentally lets slip that Joel and Dee-Dee are engaged, leaving Anthea and husband Gus Deering (Chris Garner) taken aback.

When Sabrina Adetiba’s (Luana Santos) friend tells her that Joel is a creep and should stay away from him. Sabrina realises that she’s been naive.

Later on, Dee-Dee gets ready for their engagement lunch but Joel is quickly distracted. Secretly taking a call from Sabrina’s mate, she tells him he has to meet her or he’ll regret it. What do they want?

Tim betrays Steve

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) pressures best friend Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) to agree to a night out to celebrate his fiftieth.

Although when his wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) shows Tim the invitation to the unveiling of Tommy Orpington’s (Matt Milburn) bronze bust, he realises it clashes with Steve’s birthday. Explaining to Steve he’s no longer able to go on a night out, Steve assumes that Tim is planning a surprise party.

His suspicions grow more after overhearing Sally telling Tim that she’s off into town to buy a new outfit for tomorrow. However, his excitement dwindles when his daughter Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvany) reveals that Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) has cancelled her visit and is staying in Spain, leaving him gutted.

His plans to try and win her back are clearly up in smoke as she decides to stay away from Weatherfield for a big longer. Later on in the Rovers, Steve quizzes Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) Kevin and Tyrone about his surprise party. When they all deny it, Steve smiles to himself, convinced they’re bluffing.
