Paige going to make a comeback after her season five exit? It has been eight months

since the Netflix romantic drama was last seen with the release of its two-part Christmas special.

Despite the festivities, there was a lot of unexpected moments to keep subscribers hooked, including the discovery of Paige Lassiter’s (played by Lexa Doig) husband Wes’ (Steve Bacic) body.

Having accidentally murdered him in season two, Preacher (Colin Lawrence) helped Paige hide the body but just as she leaves the small town, he is back once again to haunt her from beyond the grave.

Will Paige return for Virgin River season 6?

While a police investigation is on the cusp of being launched after the discovery of Wes’ body, Paige won’t be returning to Virgin River.

She decided against staying, despite Preacher asking her to, as she wanted a fresh start with her son Christopher.’

The Economic Times reported that showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told the publication that she wouldn’t be in the upcoming series with focus instead on Preacher and his new girlfriend.

Preacher met firefighter Kaia (Kandyse McClure) in the fifth series with her estranged husband trying to come between them but thankfully, he wasn’t able to succeed.

Things seem to be going swimmingly for the new couple when Wes is discovered which is bound to put Preacher on edge.

The Economic Times wrote: “Dispelling rumors of Paige’s return following the discovery of Wes’ body, Smith asserts that season six will not reintroduce Paige.”

“Instead, the aftermath will test Preacher and Kaia’s relationship. With Preacher having moved on, the focus will shift to exploring the dynamics between him and Kaia, particularly with the revelation of a significant secret.”

So only time will tell on how this story will play out for Preacher and if this dark secret is going to come between him and Kaia.

An official release date for series six hasn’t been announced just yet but it is believed Virgin River will be back in the first half of 2025.
