Bree admits to Rose that she does have feelings for Remi and he’s on her mind even
when she’s with Nelson. When Rose asks where this leaves the potential move to Naples,
Bree admits that she has to be honest before she makes any decisions.
True to her intention, Bree meets with Nelson and tells him everything. Ultimately, he decides what happened with Remi doesn’t matter to him, and the invitation to Italy is still open. Bree admits she can’t go with him, and Nelson gives her a passionate kiss goodbye, witnessed by an approaching Remi.
Meanwhile, Mali finally gets Iluka to open up. Iluka has been hanging out with the Allens, a family from their childhood who Mali remembers are bad news. Iluka admits they think he was responsible for dobbing them in for receiving stolen goods. While Mali knows his brother would never talk to the cops, he deduces that Iluka is in the Bay to hide out.
When they go for a drink later, Iluka spots Kirby and takes an immediate shine to her, and soon he’s at the board shop asking her out. She’s entertained by his confidence, and suggests they go for a drink when she finishes up at work.
They hit it off, but when Mali sees them on the beach the next day, he feels obliged to warn his friend that his brother is not exactly a long-term relationship type. Kirby’s not fazed – she’d figured as much. Will that stop her from pursuing things with Mali’s big brother, though?
Elsewhere, Felicity continues to worry about Cash and lightly scolds Eden for spending more time with Remi than him since Stevie’s death. Eden hadn’t even known Cash was back from the city, but goes to him and suggests he and Remi should talk. He doesn’t think that’s a good idea after their last conversation, but Eden suggests their grief could unite them.
When she leads an unknowing Remi to Cash, tempers quickly flare and Remi ends up storming out. Cash tells Eden she should focus on supporting Remi, and when she confronts her friend about what’s really going on, he tells her about his kiss with Bree and seeing her with Nelson earlier. When she advises him to sort things out with Bree, he’s adamant there’s nothing to sort out, but Eden knows him better than that.
