that the series isn’t going anywhere. When Virgin River premiered its first season

the best comforting melodrama of the moment.

However, the quality of the plot did not maintain the same standard. Many fans criticized the writers for unnecessarily prolonging the stories just to keep the audience. Although the fifth season received more positive reviews compared to the underwhelming fourth season, many believed that the end of the series was near. Recently, Nielsen released its list of the 10 most watched series in streaming. And while “Suits” held the top spot for 14 consecutive weeks, Virgin River performed much better than expected.

More than a month after its debut, the Netflix melodrama still remains in the top 10, occupying 8th position with an impressive 709 million minutes watched in the last week. That’s a remarkable number for a series that many would like to see canceled.

To give you an idea, Mel and Jack’s series surpassed series like “Ahsoka”, “Only Murders in the Building” and “Gen V”, showing that it still generates a lot of repercussion.
